We are always here to help!

Caring for your jewellery

Detailed care instructions will be added to your order.

Please note that some of our handmade jewellery pieces are delicate and should be handled with care.  Remember to avoid contact with detergents, perfumes, harsh chemicals and chlorine.  Always remember to remove your jewellery before swimming, showering/washing the dishes, sporting activities.

Whenever possible jewellery should be stored flat, in a jewellery case or pouch (We usually provide a suitable soft cloth bag with your order.)

Cleaning your jewellery

Always clean your jewellery with a suitable polishing cloth or cleaning and polishing solutions. (Some stones are not suitable  to be cleaned using a liquid solution, however, you will be advised of this with your order.)

Silver jewellery

If your jewellery has stones or a patina coating you should not use a polishing solution.  Simply use a soft toothbrush with warm soapy water, pat dry and finish using a polishing cloth.  Please take care when cleaning as too much force may remove the patina and effect the overall finish.

Please note that tarnishing is a natural process.  It is perfectly normal for sterling silver to darken and tarnish.  This process can be accelerated when the metal comes in contact with moisture, perspiration, perfumes/body lotions.  Please make sure that you follow the appropriate care/cleaning routine so that your jewellery will last.

Materials

The materials we use for our jewellery are always listed in the description box.

We use natural materials whenever possible.  However, some items may contain paste stones or a chemical coating/patina.  This will be stated in the description box.

All our jewellery is solid and none of our handmade jewellery is plated or hollow.  However, we do have the facility to rhodium plate metals if necessary. Packaging, metals and stones are ethically sourced, and we often use ECO Silver in our designs.

Reserving items from our new collections

When we create a new collection we always create a prototype.  We test it for comfort, design, durability.  When we are satisfied we will create a maximum of five pieces.  This ensures exclusivity!  The items are always previewed on our social media accounts prior to launching on our website.  If you would like us to reserve a piece of jewellery for you please contact us as soon as possible.  Designs that are stocked in galleries will differ slightly from our web page.  This also ensures exclusivity.

We often create designs exclusively for our customers.

Items designed and created exclusively for you are non-refundable.

Items that have been personalised are non-refundable.

Jewellery sets containing earrings are non-refundable.

Earrings are a non-refundable item due to Health & Safety regulations.

This does not effect your statutory rights.

Packaging

All our jewellery comes with a Cherie Amour gift bag, polishing cloth, jewellery pillow box or pouch, ribbon and care card.  A Gift Wrapping service is available at an extra cost.  Please make sure you specify that the item is a gift, and requires gift wrap when making your purchase, and state if the delivery address differs from that of the purchaser's address.

Manufacturing time

Please allow up to 4-6 weeks for a bespoke item.  We do not have a team of jewellers at hand, we are a husband and wife team.  We take a great deal of time ensuring every item of jewellery is to a high standard.  This process can not be rushed.  If an item of jewellery is over a certain weight it has to be sent to the Assay office for hallmarking, this may also add to the time delay.  If an item of jewellery is in stock, the estimated delivery time will be within 7 working days.
